1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Timeline Visualizer, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The Privacy page also describes how the current version handles files, map requests, optional analytics, and local downloads.

2. What the service does

Timeline Visualizer is a browser-based utility that attempts to parse supported Google Maps Timeline JSON exports and display routes, statistics, playback, local corrections, images, and animation exports. The available features can vary by file structure, browser, operating system, WebGL support, and video encoders.

The service may be changed, interrupted, limited, or discontinued. No account, storage, backup, synchronization, or long-term availability is promised.

3. Your files and permitted use

You are responsible for having the right to use any file you select and for complying with laws and obligations that apply to you. Do not use the service to invade another person's privacy, harass, stalk, identify, monitor, or make harmful decisions about another person.

You remain responsible for the source file and any image, video, or correction file you create. Review exported material before sharing it because maps may reveal sensitive places and routines.

4. Accuracy and decisions

Do not treat the output as conclusive evidence.

Location-history exports may contain gaps, inaccurate coordinates, inferred paths, incorrect transport labels, and device or service errors. Display smoothing, gap lines, route corrections, and playback are review features, not proof of an exact event.

Timeline Visualizer is not a legal, safety, medical, employment, insurance, financial, navigation, or evidentiary service. Important decisions should be checked against appropriate original records and qualified professional processes.

5. Third-party services

The visualizer uses OpenFreeMap base-map resources and OpenStreetMap data. If you consent on the main tool page, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may also load. Those third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Timeline Visualizer is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google Maps, OpenFreeMap, or OpenStreetMap.

6. Site content

The Timeline Visualizer name, interface, original copy, and original site assets may not be misrepresented as your own service or used to imply an endorsement that does not exist. Rights in third-party names, map data, libraries, and services remain with their respective owners.

7. Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, compatibility, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or preservation of data. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Timeline Visualizer is not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss arising from use of or inability to use the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded in your jurisdiction.

8. Changes and contact

Material changes to these terms will be reflected by the visible updated date and noted on the Updates page. Continued use after a change means the revised terms apply from their effective date.

Questions about these terms can be sent to support@timelinevisualizer.online.
